BATHROOM RENOVATION — GLEN WAVERLEY BEFORE & AFTER

The before photo is the honest version of what we walked into — a bathroom that hadn't been touched in decades. Orange laminate vanity with timber louvre cabinet doors. Small mosaic floor tiles in cream and beige, dark grout lines throughout, discoloured and impossible to clean properly. Small white wall tiles on every surface. A built-in bath with a grab rail. A separate shower recess with a timber-framed frosted glass screen and black mould visible on the ceiling tiles. The whole room functional, but well past its best — and the waterproofing underneath all of it well past its service life.

Everything came out. The mosaic floor tiles, the wall tiles, the vanity, the bath, the shower screen, the timber framing — stripped back to the substrate. New waterproofing applied to AS 3740 before a single new tile went on. New large-format tiles throughout, new bath, new vanity, new fixtures. One trade, one fixed price, no coordinating multiple contractors. The after photo is what we handed back to the homeowner.
